Ken Wohlrob's Snowdrift conjures experimental ambient music that feels "both familiar and alien — like an old language that is part of your DNA," and pathetique's Commiserate layers polyrhythms and ambient noise into melodies representing "a large, chaotic conversation" of empathy. Chris Irregardless's Worn Down To The Rope rounds it out with something darker, woodsier, and heavier on drones — a story trying to emerge that you'll have to finish yourself.
