First Fan Unlock Gate

Gates are control mechanisms that allow artists to manage how their download codes are distributed through GetMusic. These gates help artists customize their fan engagement and control access to their music.

For releases using the Require Login Gate:

Users must be logged into their GetMusic account to redeem a download code.
This ensures that the artist can track who is accessing their music and helps prevent unauthorized sharing of codes.

Log into your Bandcamp artist account, go to your release, and navigate to the "Download codes" section. You can generate free promotional codes there.

We require at least 10 valid promotional codes to list your release on GetMusic.

We'll send you email reminders when you're running low on codes. You can add more codes anytime from your artist dashboard.

Log in to your account and click "Collection" in the navigation menu. Your redeemed codes and downloads will be listed there.

Visit your profile settings and navigate to the Billing section. You can cancel your subscription from there, or contact support for assistance.

Refunds are handled on a case-by-case basis. Please submit a support ticket with details about your request and we'll review it promptly.

The GetMusic Spotlight is open to all independent artists, but there are a couple of ground rules:

• You must be an artist with music out (or coming soon).
• You must fill out the questions seriously—no joke answers, bots, or one-liners.
• You don’t need to be “famous” or have a considerable following. We’re here to show the real DIY process.

If you take your music seriously, we’ll take your story seriously. Every valid submission gets published—no gatekeeping, no favoritism. These are just honest stories from independent artists doing the work.
