Introduction & Background

Please introduce yourself and share a bit about your background.

We are a rock band from near Leipzig, Germany, with a distinctive and individual sound. Our music lies somewhere at the intersection of Alternative Dark Rock, Indie Rock and Post-Punk, complemented by a small but distinctive touch of Metal.

What's your musical origin story?

We formed in late 2016 and came together in the lineup we have today. All of us had already been involved in other musical projects before, which allowed us to gain experience and develop individually. As a result, each of us brings our own influences and experiences into the music we create together. Our inspiration comes from many different things – especially the world around us, current events and developments in society, but also personal experiences, thoughts and emotions that occupy our minds.
That is why our lyrics are often written in metaphors. We want to leave room for the listener’s own thoughts and interpretations, allowing everyone to create their own imagery and find their own meaning within our songs.

What were the driving forces or pivotal moments that inspired you to pursue music?

Music has always been something that fascinates and inspires us. There are many bands and artists who influence us and whose music we personally enjoy listening to. We are particularly drawn to guitar-driven music that is able to create depth, atmosphere and genuine emotion at the same time.
This combination of powerful guitars, catchy melodies and emotional depth is one of the main reasons why we create music ourselves and continue to pursue our own musical path.

Musical Identity

How would you describe your style of music?

Our sound is difficult to fit into a single genre. It moves somewhere between Metal, Alternative Rock, Indie Rock and Post-Punk, combining elements of these styles with our own distinctive atmosphere. Catchy melodies, a certain darkness and melancholy, as well as emotional depth are central elements of our sound. For us, it is precisely this combination that makes our music unique.

How is your personality reflected in your work?

Our personalities are reflected in many aspects of our music – both musically and lyrically. Although our sound can often feel dark and melancholic, it is never hopeless. That balance is also a reflection of who we are as people.

We tend to question things. At times, we can be very critical and self-critical, and we do not simply accept everything happening around us. At the same time, we never want to get lost in negativity. Even within the darkness, there is always a sense of looking forward – a hope for better times, a sense of confidence, and the belief that things can change.

J.(guitar), in particular, channels a lot of darkness from within himself into his lyrics. But there is always a glimpse of hope, confidence and a great deal of emotion. Love is also a recurring theme – explored in its many different forms and often connected to the highs and lows of human experience.

Describe your creative process when you write new music.

The creative process behind our songs usually begins with our singer. He collects musical ideas, records them and keeps them on his hard drive before eventually bringing them to the band.
That is where the collaborative process begins. In the rehearsal room, we arrange the songs together, develop individual parts and gradually give the original ideas their final shape.
Once the music has taken form, J starts working on the lyrics. He writes them in close connection with the music, allowing its atmosphere, dynamics and emotional character to guide the lyrical direction.
We initially record and produce our music independently. For the final stage, we usually work with an external producer who helps us refine the songs and take our sound to the next level.

Current Work

What is the name of your latest release?

Lost in Silence (Album)

What was the inspiration for that release?

Our latest release, “Lost in Silence”, emerged naturally from our creative process. There was no specific concept or predetermined idea behind it.
We did, however, have a clear feeling that we wanted to move our sound in a more modern direction. We wanted to give our choruses more width and dynamics while adding new elements and making the overall sound more interesting. In some places, we also wanted to explore a more progressive approach.
“Lost in Silence” therefore developed step by step – not according to a strict plan, but through the combination of our ideas and our desire to push our sound forward.

What challenges or unexpected moments did you encounter during the writing/recording process?

Like many independent bands, one of our biggest challenges is simply finding enough time for music. Some of our members have demanding jobs and family commitments, which means that the time available for songwriting, rehearsals and production is often limited.

As a result, our songwriting, recording and production processes can take quite a long time. But we also see a positive side to that: we give our songs the time they need to develop.

After all, good things take time – and for us, quality will always be more important than quantity.

Promotion & Engagement

What strategies do you find most effective for promoting your music?

As independent artists, we have to invest a considerable amount of our own time, effort and money into getting our music heard. We distribute our releases through digital distributors to platforms such as Spotify, Apple Music and other streaming services. We then use social media and Meta campaigns, among other tools, to draw attention to our music and the channels where people can discover it.
But just as important to us is the personal side of promotion. We want to build a genuine connection with the people who already listen to our music, and of course, we hope that our fans will help carry our songs further by sharing and recommending them.

How do you engage with your fans online and offline?

Building a direct connection with our listeners and fans is very important to us. We stay in touch with people both through messaging services and through personal contact within our local community. Especially with fans from other countries, communication often happens through messaging apps, email and other digital platforms. We appreciate every conversation, every bit of feedback and every personal connection that comes from our music.

What upcoming promotional activities or releases are you most excited about?

We are currently working on new material. We are writing new songs, developing our sound and hoping to present new music – and potentially a new album – in 2027.
