Replaced By Robots - We are Obsolete Bohemians wandering through this increasingly artificial landscape creating music and art for the End of The World and the Day after!

What's your musical origin story?

Featuring members with roots in Boston’s underground and punk scenes, Goolkasian (The Elevator Drops) Adam Wade (Funeral Party) and Berlin based painter and chanteuse, Heather Joy Morgan.

How would you describe your style of music?

New Wave of New Wave, Retro Sci-fi, Indi, Soul, Post-Punk and everything in-between Sometimes WRONG

Describe your creative process when you write new music.

We build songs like experiments, we are not trying to re-create GOTH, or FOLK, or PUNK. We look around the dystopian world and play with the wreckage, creating songs and visuals that make us feel alive. Where Past and Future Collide we are combining elements of the past and the future to create what we feel is unique and inspiring.

What is the name of your latest release?

The Human Touch

What was the inspiration for that release?

Replaced By Robots are leaning into their most human instincts yet. Our 2nd Digital Release in a trilogy of mini-records called the Experiment which will be released as 3 CD Box set in 2027. Mini-records are designed for modern human beings with limited attention spans.

The Experiment (2025) was a sampling of songs from the Laboratory
The Human Touch (2026) features songs of Love
Electrified (2027) will feature our new wave of new wave sounds and songs about co-exsistinance with machinery.

Promotion & Engagement

What strategies do you find most effective for promoting your music?

Videos. We were nominated and receive the Milan Gold award for our last video which was a hand made stop motion animation.
