Transient Cat, a.k.a. Denis Lecoeuche, is a sound artist and experimental musician based in Paris, France. His work lies at a crossroads between noise, drone, concrète and experimental music, with improvisation and serendipity at the core of his practice, as well as the willingness to treat any kind of sound material as legitimate and worth being polished, deconstructed, or destroyed.
In 2018, he co-founded Editions1OF1, a label publishing experimental music and unique objects limited-to-1-copy, where he released many albums and collaborative works. Since 2024, he holds a Sonic Arts Master’s degree in partnership with INA GRM (Paris). In 2025, he participated in residencies at CTM Festival (Berlin) & EMS (Stockholm) and his piece “Bounce and Fall” was released on raster’s “In The Field” compilation.
