Nelson Comes To Visit

Nelson Comes To Visit (NCTV) is a glitter punk band and multi-media project from Ohio formed by longtime friends and musical collaborators John and Nelson. After not seeing each other in-person for several years, the 2 artists (who record independently as Superdestroyer and Leave Nelson B respectively) got to spend a weekend hanging out. The visit resulted in a marathon 2-day writing and recording session that became the majority of their self-titled debut LP. Since then, the band has continued to expand it's sound, with each album having it's own identity.

NCTV has coined their unique blend of punk, chiptune, video game osts, indie rock, hardcore, pop, hip hop, and RnB as "Glitter Punk", which differs from pop punk due to its heavy aesthetic and musical nostalgia, as well as it's prominent indie rock, indie pop, and video game soundtrack influences. Their albums area always partnered with surrealist multi-media art projects via limited-quantity physical copies on nostalgic mediums such as VHS, Replica Sega Genesis Game cartridges, and an MP3 player preloaded with their music.
