Nutrias, are a group of friends belonging to the Spanish underground music scene, who have played and released albums with groups such as Cuchillo De Fuego, Phantom Keys, Travesti Afgano, Peluquería Canina, Djalminha, Selvática or Lobishome among others.

The main influences of this new project have almost nothing to do with what they did previously, with influences including The Bats, Toy Love, Juan Wauters, Jay Reatard, Beat Happening, Television Personalities, and The Feelies, and some others who have released albums on labels such as Flying Nun, Sarah Records, K Records etc.

Augment all of the above with the light innocent vocals that typifies the brilliance of jangly Spanish indie, tonto and twee-pop acts such as The Yellow Melodies, Madbil and early Autoescuela, Nutrias provide a wonderful mix of jangly fey and guitar-pop muscularity.
