The first Gum Parker album finds songwriter Galen Richmond digging through his 90's favorites for inspiration and ultimately sounding like none of them. There are moments where the feel is Archers of Loaf, the leads recall Silkworm, or the brevity and imagery suggest Guided By Voices but these songs are, as Rosy Overdrive writes "sneakily difficult to define"
