A post rock jazz night road trip.
The B Roads is the alias of multi-instrumentalist John Paul Turner mixing jazz, folk, minimal and blues to create impressions of middle age middle England. The BBC Late Junction show named their album ‘Senseless acts of beauty’ as “One of the most ear catching records of the year” with recent albums and singles receiving BBC and international airplay. Ivor Novello winner Joris de Man says The B Roads are "Off-kilter, original, and refreshing” music that “constantly keeps you guessing”.
Based in a disused Military Barracks in the exact center of England,
their album – ‘Anywhere you want’ is the crossroads meeting of
Post Rock and Jazz folk. Mostly instrumental, mostly one guitar
played live with loops and FX with some songs of hypnotism, love,
and recognition, on the endless road going anywhere you want.
