Introduction & Background
Please introduce yourself and share a bit about your background.
I am a Delaware born, now Brooklyn based singer/songwriter with psychedelic and post-punk tendencies.
What's your musical origin story?
I have been making music under the name LunchBox President since 2015.
What were the driving forces or pivotal moments that inspired you to pursue music?
I have been playing music since I was 11 and slowly built knowledge of self-recording until I created my own personal creative process.
Musical Identity
How would you describe your style of music?
I usually describe my sound as psychedelic singer/songwriter.
How is your personality reflected in your work?
My personal interest in 50s crooner music and 60s psychedelia filtered through my love of Phil Elverum and home recording heroes is reflected in my music's tendency to have a wide scope, but sense for experimentation.
Describe your creative process when you write new music.
My music writing can be sporadic, whether from jams or working through songwriting games. Also like many, I have many voice memos full of short melodies that come into my mind.
Current Work
What is the name of your latest release?
DEATH DISC - single
What was the inspiration for that release?
This song was inspired by my research into death disc singles. Meaning "a phonograph record about teenage tragedy", think Leader of the Pack and songs like that.
What challenges or unexpected moments did you encounter during the writing/recording process?
It took me roughly 4 years to really find the voice of the song. I had chords for a while and the main hook, but the structure was the problem. And of course, getting the recording correct to many different recordings and iterations.

What strategies do you find most effective for promoting your music?
Playing shows and inviting more and more friends!
How do you engage with your fans online and offline?
Instagram and Partifuls events.
What upcoming promotional activities or releases are you most excited about?
My new album AWORLDWINDBUTFUN will be coming out in July 2026. I am excited to have the release party, show, and get people's ears on it.
