Strings attached and guitars cranked: Song for a Gorgeous Blonde's Höstaffären två celebrates their 50th release with gothic strings, relentless beats and louder guitars dramatizing Autumn Affairs better left to the imagination, while their Till tornet övergivet charts the ambient regrets of a shattered marriage across heavy-duty orchestral drama and a rock finale that might have visited Strawberry Fields. Dino DiMuro's Fill It Up With Regular brings grungy lead guitars, wild proggy keyboard excursions and Beefheartian crunch. Jav Grojas's Harrow Brane conjures an uncanny, unsettling atmosphere through neoclassical synthesized strings, and his Eridanus Dreaming explores the mysterious, blurry dreamscapes of a distant planet where reality and imagination blur indistinguishably, while his Strolling to Nowhere traces a half-real, half-initiatory journey through neoclassical-jazz piano across morning, noon and evening.
