Toronto-based singer/songwriter Dave Coleman began writing as Nameless Ghost in 2018. His debut album, "Under the Surface," explores themes of loss, grief, and mental illness, drawing inspiration from the production techniques and melancholic aspects found among artists like Sparklehorse, Grandaddy, and Elliott Smith. The sound is further shaped by the influence of '90s grunge acts like Soundgarden and Nirvana. Released on November 1st, 2022, the album garnered attention, earning a spot on Bandcamp's "New & Noteworthy" section. It was recorded and mixed entirely by Dave Coleman at Shut Inn Studio, with mastering by Todd Tobias (Guided By Voices, Kramies).
