Ateş Kuan

​Ateş Kuan is a Turkish hip-hop artist, songwriter, record producer, and vinyl DJ. Born in the Polatlı district of Ankara, he later relocated to Eskişehir, where he established his music career. Operating primarily as an independent artist, Ateş Kuan manages the entirety of his production process within his personal recording studio. His work encompasses songwriting, beatmaking, audio mixing, mastering, and cover art design. Musically, his output frequently incorporates street narratives, introspective themes, and heavy rhythmic structures.
​In addition to his solo work, Ateş Kuan is the founder of Revenge Hill, an independent music collective and hip-hop movement based in Eskişehir. Through this organization, he has collaborated with local hip-hop artists, including NOCAER, to develop the region’s alternative street music scene. Ateş Kuan’s early digital releases began in 2017 with the track “Sokak”. Expanding his artistic scope into cinema, he contributed to the film industry as a musician for the short films War and Guitar (2017) and Reflection (2018). This was followed by the release of his independent single “Neden” in 2020.
​In 2021, Ateş Kuan released his debut extended play (EP), titled “Pisliğin İçindekiler”, alongside the single “Sabaha Dek”. On July 31, 2023, he released his debut full-length studio album, “NERO”, through 2465090 Records DK. Structured as an experimental concept album, the 9-track project fuses standard hip-hop elements with metal rap and industrial techno rhythms. The album features collaborations with several independent vocalists, including NOCAER, Gede, Empozi, Öznur Tetik, and Cannur Daşkıran. Also in 2023, he collaborated with Yunus Cem Öner on the track “Gidelim Uzaklara”.
​As a live performer, Ateş Kuan’s shows integrate vocal rap performances with vinyl DJing and turntablism. His DJ sets have been featured at large-scale regional events and open-air venues, including Vecihi Hürkuş Aviation Park, Eskişehir Kentpark, ETO TÜYAP Fair and Congress Center, and the Eskişehir Metropolitan Municipality Water Sports Center. In the nightlife and club circuit, he has performed at venues such as No46 Pub, Peyote Eskişehir, as well as various nightclubs in Istanbul. As a frontline rap performer, he has regularly taken the stage at alternative live music venues across Eskişehir, including Rumours, Pan Performance Hall, Social Pub, B2B, Aleister Pub and Orfe Bar. A notable point in his live performance career occurred on December 30, 2023, when he co-headlined a concert with veteran Turkish rap artist Fuat Ergin at Peyote Eskişehir.
​Today, Ateş Kuan continues to actively produce and release music from his independent studio, further shaping the local underground scene and expanding his interdisciplinary audio work.
