Supermarket Parking Lot
Falling From A String
"Falling From A String" is an abstract, brash, messy, and (probably) vaguely political look back at my high school years, when I had just started writing songs and wanted to play things as loud as possible. 6 years on from when I wrote it, the song has persisted in live performances with Supermarket Parking Lot and still holds a special place in my heart as a relic of who I used to be as a songwriter and peek into the songwriter that I would become. While clearly and distinctly written in a different time and frame of mind than the rest of the songs we've been recording for our planned debut album, I still felt the need to get a final and polished recording of this song, even if only for sentimental reasons. And now here it is, about to be released into the world. Supermarket Parking Lot's second single, the second song I ever wrote, and the first of many exciting 2024 releases for SPL -- a taster, if you would like. I hope you love it just as much as I do. — Marco
