What is your artist's name?

Vinnie-Dangerous

How long have you been writing music?

Since I was 7 years old, so pretty much my whole life.

What inspired you to start playing and making music?

My dad was in a rap group when I was a baby, so I was in the studio with him as an infant.

What were the driving forces or pivotal moments that inspired you to pursue music?

I love creating music and writing. It started as an outlet for me to express myself, but now it's a labor of love. Using your voice for a message and contributing to the culture is a beautiful thing.

How would you describe your style of music?

Autobiographical, aggressive, and introspective hip hop.

How is your personality reflected in your work?

I kind of have a Jekyll and Hyde thing with my personality. I'm very passionate, and if I love something, I really love it. If I hate something, I REALLY hate it, and I put that into my work.

Describe your creative process when you write new music.

I'm usually playing around with sounds in FL Studio, and once I have a rhythm, the lyrics just pour out.

What is the name of your latest release?

"Dream 'Til It's Over" is my latest album, released on 04/30/2024.

What was the inspiration for that release?

The album was inspired by becoming a father for the first time two years ago. Watching my son as he grew made me reflect on my own childhood and how far I'd come since then.

What challenges or unexpected moments did you encounter during the writing/recording process?

Balancing being a dad and a husband to my wife while making music was a big challenge. Before then, I could focus on just making the music, but your time isn't as finite with all the responsibilities in this new chapter of my life.

What strategies do you find most effective for promoting your music?

GetMusic has been great honestly since I decided to only release this album on Bandcamp and my website. Other than that, I've just been doing shows and using Meta ads.

How do you engage with your fans online and offline?

Online: I use social media. Through my podcast livestream called 1430 Live. Offline: I do shows, meet-ups, and contests.

What upcoming promotional activities or releases are you most excited about?

I'm releasing a new music video I worked on with animator RNotte for the song dedicated to my son called "I Love You so Much". We're releasing it on 09/02/2024, which is his 2nd birthday.

How can folks contact you (socials/email/websites etc.)?

My website is the best way: www.vinniedangerous.com. You can also hit me up on Instagram/Threads, TikTok, and Facebook at @vinniedangerous.
