Introduction & Background

Please introduce yourself and share a bit about your background.

Hi, I’m Daniel, a Spanish-German artist and music producer based in Liverpool, UK. My work spans from atmospheric, ambient landscapes across two album releases to high-energy electronic experimental compilations. Beyond the studio, I’m usually watching movies, playing video games, or staying active with sports.

What's your musical origin story?

Music has been part of my life for as long as I can remember, starting with early lessons in guitar and music theory. My path into electronic production took off in adulthood, moving from hands-on jamming on a Korg Kaossilator Pro to deep-diving into DAW production with Logic Pro X. In 2023, I launched LowPilott to share my vision with the world. Heavily influenced by ambient music, the project blends ambient, house, synthwave, and various electronic styles into a signature spacey, futuristic sound.

What were the driving forces or pivotal moments that inspired you to pursue music?

Music creation is simply part of who I am. It’s where I feel most alive. Nothing else matches the fulfillment I get from the process. If my tracks can elevate your mood or make your day a little better, that’s all the validation I need. That’s why I’ve made a commitment to myself to keep building, producing, and sharing this journey with all of you.

Musical Identity

How would you describe your style of music?

I don't believe in locking myself into one genre. I create based on whatever I’m feeling in the moment. That could mean a smooth, relaxing synthwave track today, and an energetic house, phonk, or hip-hop track tomorrow. Different styles, higher tempos, but always rooted in the same futuristic, spacey universe.

How is your personality reflected in your work?

I’m a pretty laid-back guy, but I overthink everything, and you can definitely hear that precision in my music. I’m a perfectionist when it comes to mixing, transitions, and fine details because I want every track to feel like a real journey, whether it’s a smooth, peaceful ride or an exciting, high-energy adventure. My brain gets bored repeating the same vibe, so I keep every release unpredictable. Tying it all together is my obsession with space and astronomy, which gives both the sound and the visuals their futuristic, cosmic home.

Describe your creative process when you write new music.

My process changes every time I sit down to make music. Usually, I’ll start with a lead melody and build the track up from there, but if I hit a wall, I'll hunt for inspiring samples. I also lean heavily on visual media: film scenes, mood edits, and short clips, because visual art triggers a specific emotion that I can instantly translate into sound!

Current Work

What is the name of your latest release?

Zero Point

What was the inspiration for that release?

Zero Point was born from a pivotal shift in my process. It initially started around a hip-hop drum pattern, but something felt disconnected until I replaced the original sample with a soaring synth arpeggio. Suddenly, the vision locked into place. Conceptually, a "zero point" represents the bridge between human perception and the objective universe, how we translate raw, chaotic reality into an ordered language. I built the track around this idea, weaving contrasting melodies together until they formed a cohesive, structured whole out of total sonic noise.

What challenges or unexpected moments did you encounter during the writing/recording process?

The biggest challenge was letting go of the original vision. After spending months creating, tweaking, and fine-tuning, I realized the track wasn't working in its initial form. Choosing to completely pivot, taking months of effort and spinning it into something entirely new, was tough, but it ultimately allowed the song to become what it was meant to be.

Promotion & Engagement

What strategies do you find most effective for promoting your music?

Lately, I dabbled into giving free codes away for Bandcamp and the reception has been amazing! New listeners are discovering my music and checking my other releases too.

How do you engage with your fans online and offline?

Bandcamp is my main home for releases and official updates, while my Buy Me a Coffee is where I share behind-the-scenes preview art and upcoming music snippets. I also love connecting directly with fellow ambient music lovers and supporters across dedicated subreddits. Come say hi!

What upcoming promotional activities or releases are you most excited about?

Without giving too much away, my next release is going to take everyone by surprise. It dives into a genre that’s been blowing up recently while still holding onto its underground roots. I’m experimenting with some new sounds here, and I can’t wait to share more with you soon!
