Introduction & Background

I'm Fredrik aka Freddie, 42 from Sweden. Self-taught "musician" who's been involved in music since I was 17 years old. Mainly been a vocalist and lyricist but the last 15 years I've also been writing music on my own. I first knew I wanted to be a vocalist when I heard Pantera's album "Vulgar Display of Power" - Philip Anselmo's voice just blew me away! Metal has always been my drive musically, and also industrial music for a few years. The drive I get to create comes from hearing other artists and songs that are just like a gut punch - that leaves you breathless and then just ignites something within you that you need to get out!

Musical Identity

My musical style is very different, because I switch between my different projects. One being "Blackened Death Metal" and one being "Synth/Dark/Industrial/Wave", but I guess everything boils down to what I'm feeling at the moment. My creative process is a bit strange - usually I just sit down and start writing something, maybe drums, maybe a melody? And then everything just flows on, on its own!

Current Work

The most current release is called "Anti Life" as it's basically about the world today. It's very dark and it reflects on how I see the world right now - with war and what not going on and people suffering. "Anti Life" seems like a very fitting title. Am I dark and angry myself? Not always, but as an empath my state of being and what I write reflects on what I see and feel.

Promotion & Engagement

I'm a social person, so I reach new fans by talking about my music online and engaging with people. If someone is nice to me, I'll be nice to them. It's all give and take, and being a person like this has helped me promote my music and gather fans and friends. I'm not out and about as much, but even at work I try to talk to people and spread my music that way as well. Being a chef means I'm social, and that way I can talk to people and get them interested. People can reach me on Instagram and Threads - maybe other social media later, but tbh I kinda hate social media.
