Pygmy Children

Pygmy Children, the Baltimore based electro-industrial duo of brothers Pete and Brian Roper, surfaced in 1993 with the "Facedown" single on Noname/Noslogan Productions, followed in 1994 by the debut album "Malignant," recorded at Hit and Run Studios in Rockville, Maryland with engineer Steve Carr.

The group continued through the decade with "Deconstruct" (Cleopatra, 1995) and "Low Life Dream"
(Sub/Mission Records & Out Of Line, 1998), building a body of work inside the American EBM and industrial underground of the 1990s. After years away, Pygmy Children returned in 2025 with new material via Re:Mission Entertainment. That includes the album "Coincidental Strategies" and its singles "I Have No Name" and "Signal Unknown," plus the recent single "Proof in Lies," the lead track from their forthcoming fifth studio album, "Into The Silence." The label is also home to this remaster of their earliest work.

"Malignant : Redux" marks the first official remaster of the band's debut era, restoring "Malignant" and
"Facedown" for an audience that has kept both records in circulation for over thirty years.
