CIRC makes electronic songs that tell so much with only a few elements without sounding repetitive. It's addictive and you just want more.

CIRC is the electronic music project of French composer François Rousseau. For more than 25 years, he has explored the space between ambient, experimental electronic music and minimalist composition, creating instrumental pieces built from rich textures, subtle melodies and carefully shaped imperfections.

His music balances accessibility with experimentation. Rather than relying on complexity, CIRC develops slowly evolving sound worlds where a handful of carefully chosen elements interact, allowing listeners to project their own emotions and interpretations. Warmth, nostalgia, contemplation and quiet tension are recurring themes throughout his work.

Alongside his personal work, François Rousseau composes production music for film, television and advertising. His music has been released by major libraries including Sony / Extreme Music and Universal Production Music, and featured in productions for Netflix, Amazon Prime, HBO, BBC, Arte, TF1, France Télévisions and many other international broadcasters and brands.

For CIRC, music is not intended to impose meaning, but to offer a space for listening, imagination and personal interpretation.
