CheniL

CheniL, founded in 2023 by Bubu Pagier (Urge, Bavoir, Grifu with Erik from Sister Iodine...) and Robin Dufour (Coaltar, Stoned Diplodocus...), is a sonic exploration where gestures, jerks, and crackles intertwine in this noise-oriented project. No one has any idea how they manage to produce these sounds, or which organs they use for this purpose, nor of the sonic transformations they are capable of, evoking darkness and abstract violence, without any vague semblance of symmetry or harmony. From their reactions to the auditory mutilations they crave — whether for experimental purposes or out of sheer savagery — arises a patient chaos, a disturbing shadow with many faces that drives away any hope of joy, an introspection that disguises our darkness as suffocating madness, a betrayal of optimism, of the sky, of cats, and of comfort.
