Multitudes

Haunting, emotive vocals float above velvety, meditative synthesizers in “Multitudes,” which feels like a soundtrack for experiencing the present moment. Laid back beats support an undulating bed of dreamy and ethereal ambience, all in the liminal space between hymns, soundscapes, and mantras. Singer and producer Akiko Sampson states, “‘Multitudes’ is like a letter I wrote to myself in a time of confusion. The words came as a reminder to look at the bigger picture, the longer timeframe, and the many ways we can view our own experience. It’s about making peace with the directionless, letting go of the need to define, and learning to embrace the unknown.”

“Multitudes” is the first single from Yama Uba’s “Horizon” EP, which releases Nov 4 on Ratskin Records and Psychic Eye Records.
