Vicarious Ardents

In December 2020, during the height of the pandemic, a group of ambient and soundscape electronica artists from the DIY Twitter community came together via Discord to create a benefit compilation for a friend who lost their home to a fire. For each day of Advent, an artist was selected to compose and submit a soundscape commemorating a season of giving, reflection, and emerging from darkness.

Executive produced by singer-songcyclist and Salieri Records co-founder Matthew DeMello, the result, Advent Aspects, is a distinctive solstice celebration. It stands as a testament to an irreplaceable moment in DIY music discovery and the power of human connection to harness social tools for good. The master recordings and distribution continue to be proudly managed by Salieri Records, preserving this unique project as a symbol of resilience and creativity.
