Bon Voyage (featuring John Serrano)

A fun collaboration, Bon Voyage started its life on the desk of my friend, Michigan singer/songwriter Scott Cooley, as a tune about a cruise his grandfather had taken. But, to torture the nautical metaphor, Scott got becalmed (songwriter occupational hazard, IYKYK), I took the wheel and, with Scott's help, eventually Bon Voyage made port. The nautical/vacation theme intact . . . but the tone, darker.

And then . . .

John Serrano entered the chat.
A friend and frequent collaborator, John nailed the unhinged vocal, bringing our narrator to life.

Scott just released his 14th album--Hues of Blue

And John's working on a new album I'm excited to be contributing to. You can find his work here:

The URJ usual suspects round out the band on this one, with everyone doing their awesome thing.
Next up? More songs. More friends. Stay tuned.
