YOIN / 余韻

YOIN (余韻) is a Japanese word for the feeling that stays with you after a sound has faded. That idea became the starting point for this album. We found ourselves drawn to 1970s Japanese jazz, old organs and Rhodes, strange rhythms, tape echoes and the little imperfections that make music feel alive. The nine instrumental tracks move between quiet, space and groove, sometimes taking unexpected turns. Flight even drifts into deep house. YOIN (余韻) is a record for late nights, early mornings and those moments when the music has stopped, but somehow you’re still hearing
