This is not a simulation?

This track was developed for the Cities and Memory Spring Project. A global community of sound artists are remixing sounds to form new and imaginative works shared via podcasts and a global audio map.

The audio that I selected for my own reimagined track originated in the Gare Du Nord, Paris. It contained the sounds of everyday travellers passing through the station alongside other ambient sounds and intriguingly fake birdsong being piped onto one of the stations platform.

This original audio was recorded in February 2026 by Cities and Memory.
