Hanging Up the Motley

Hanging Up the Motley is born out of a single piece from 2019, the Renaissance-inspired instrumental "Fanfare for a Jester", that depicted a dignified medieval court with a jester at the height of his glory. The album explores what happens to the jester when times get worse and he find himself playing his final jests and instruments in empty echoing halls.
The original melodies are re-assigned to different instruments, all layered over some chill (and sometimes sad) beats.
