A rare gem from the early 2000s, originally released on Artoffact Records, Lilies Of The Field—the sole album from Shimri, the solo project of Gary Dassing (Mentallo & The Fixer)—is finally making its return. With raw emotion, hypnotic rhythms, and intricate melodies, the album left a lasting impression on underground electronic music.
Now, digitally remastered for its first-ever digital release, this new edition arrives on Re:Mission Entertainment on July 18th. Jeff Mortimer at JM Mastering has enriched its dynamic range, breathing new life into the original twelve tracks, alongside eight unreleased demos, featuring two never-before-heard songs.
The album’s original artwork, beautifully restored by Rev. Daryl Litts, preserves its immersive visual identity, further elevating this long-lost classic.
This release is part of a larger resurgence of Mentallo & The Fixer-related projects on Re:Mission Entertainment, including No Rest For The Wicked: 30th Anniversary, Vengeance Is Mine (Remastered), and Dwayne Dassing’s side projects: Reign Of Roses and Kitty Kosmonaut—with much more to come.
