Noises Beyond
Rare Kreature is no stranger to using horror imagery in his songs, and he often uses this motif to explore personal and societal issues. Noises Beyond marks the fourth album under this moniker, and a return to Rare Kreature’s original horror themes. He considers Noises Beyond as a Halloween-themed album that weaves between morose and campy lyrics. This album also includes two cover songs, a reimagining of AFI’s "Total Immortal" and an expansion of The Offspring’s "Dirty Magic." With the help of a few guest singers, Noises Beyond aims to deliver a diverse, immersive experience for lovers of darkwave, post-punk, and '80s horror.
Fresh off the release of their full-length album Noises Beyond, Rare Kreature unveils a new music video for the single "Otra Muerte" featuring guest vocalist Bitte of darkwave duo, Silent Cities. Rare Kreature is the Phoenix-based darkwave project of Adrian Kreature. The single "Otra Muerte" (or "Other Death") conveys elements of horror inspiration and cultural insight into modern Mexican-American culture. Adrian cites the extreme tactics of ICE in the US and heightened discrimination against immigrants as focal points. The track and its accompanying video convey a feeling of loss due to senseless violence, while celebrating the matriarchal figures and themes of Day of the Dead and Bruja practices as emblems of Mexican culture.
