Journey to Pluto

Journey to Pluto is a concept album exploring different aspects of Pluto, blending orchestra and piano alongside equal measures of ambient pads, pulsing electronic arpeggiators and vintage leads. It begins with a trio of tracks related to the dwarf planet, showcasing its mystery and appeal, and also the excitement of New Horizons' successes in investigating the Pluto system. The six part suite "Journey to Pluto" follows, combining the moons of Pluto with their namesakes in Greek Mythology to tell a story of a journey to the Underworld. Encountering the fearsome creatures at the Underworld's entrance, followed by the goddess of the night, the hero is finally able to cross the river and meet Hades himself. It ends with a lullaby dedicated to my kids, who I love as a million hearts - just like the heart you can see on Pluto.
