"Better to travel with a promise than a maybe" was written about the small toothpaste that lost its cap as I was packing for a trip. I dropped it in a plastic bag and the first line of the chorus was born. At the Atlanta airport I wrote the rest. This song is about saying goodbye to a lover at the airport not knowing what the relationship will look like after you part.
