Neither Could Dylan
Acceptance
“What’s the hardest conversation you never had?”
On Acceptance, Neither Could Dylan embraces a tamer and more introspective look at the world and her place within it. Reflecting on personal accountability and the willingness to work towards becoming the best version of yourself, Acceptance leans into the mellow acoustic-based foundation that has become a staple in her sound and the result is a much more vulnerable collection of songs that allow for better communication about the experiences that inspired them.
Written during the first year of sobriety and during the finalization process of divorce, each song takes an outward look with newfound perspective at the situations and relationships that led to this point. While based in grief, it ultimately ends with an ere of optimism and chooses appreciation for the experiences over regret.
Acceptance has heard comparisons to a variety of artists, from Hole to The Pogues to Souxie and the Banshees and more all while maintaining a uniqueness that doesn't quite fit into any given box.
