Lenny and the D
We're celebrating the anniversary of our debut album! This album is a culmination of songs written by the band while on the job, performed at open mics and festivals, and finally recorded in a studio.
Themes of the working class turned upside down with tracks such as "PDM (Pizza Delivery Man)" and "(It's OK to Steal from) Hobby Lobby" while corporate cultural demise is explored in "Reply All". The more introspective "Can't Find", "Cover Me", and "Balthazar's Dream" spend a great deal of time on spacey guitars and intricate harmonies. The well-named track, "Closer" ends the album with self-referential and self-deprecating humor (a staple of the bands' live performances) alongside groovy riffs.
Explore Lenny and the D's self titled album and know that no two tracks sound the same and yet they somehow flow together. Written specifically for the "full album experience", this is best listened to in the order of release. And no, "Intro" being the 4th track on the album isn't a mistake.
