Mes nuits grises

This mini-album by ambient/experimental project Kobalt dives into a subterranean world of ghost voices, evocation of an eerie past that did not quite happen, melancholy related to a perceived loss of self and, finally, emerging from the depth.
The album was composed and recorded in one month, and it is heavily inspired by my personal experience spending time in the underground network under Paris. This labyrinth comprising hundreds and hundreds of kilometers of galleries and rooms of varying sizes (including but not limited to the famous Paris Catacombs) has been a sanctuary for many people across ages.
"Mes nuits grises" serves as a tribute to each and every person that walked these underground passages.
