Daisy is a soaring pop/singer-songwriter ballad intricately woven with cinematic strings, describing the complexities and bittersweet hardships of leaving a long-term relationship. This song was written months after the end of Lyttle's first romantic relationship, in which she had realized her feelings had changed after two years of being with this person, from the point of view of her future self speaking to her past self, using the recurring motif "you'll be okay".
