artifacts is a race against time.
moving away from avant-garde long-form instrumentals, this album distills eight years of separation into j.demar's most structured, cohesive, and melodic work to date. fusing shimmering dream pop haze, restless post punk energy, and frantic breakbeat velocity into soaring post rock crescendos, the record channels the urgency of a ticking clock. grounded in razor sharp verse-chorus songcraft and anchored by voice recordings from home videos of birthday celebrations, artifacts is a time capsule of devotion - built to prove that no matter how much time slips away, light overcomes dark.
