Like I Did Before

This song is like a little sound movie I made to try and bottle the sad, sweet feeling of loving someone who isn’t right for me.

It’s a first-person account of the way I try to grasp for control by blaming myself when things fall apart. I tell myself that it’ll all work out if I can just fix everything that’s wrong with me. It’s impressive how foolish I can be.

It was recorded in my apartment here in the mission last month on my little Casiotone MT-600 and an old Hohner soprano melodica.
