The Trifler is Cauterised the strange entity that deals in the world of soundtrack and "lost" music manipulation and mangling. For this release he fired up his sampling time machine and has plundered the 1970s for some of the finer cuts from the decade.
But rather than producing an album of indulgent progressive rock, punk nihilism or disco fever, he's produced an album of shattered and sleaze ridden soundtrack pieces, covering the world of funk, jazz and exotica.
All lovely splattered in noise, static and echo to produce a hauntological nightmare, where the parts of the decade we hope had been buried have risen like some hideous diseased chimera, ready to drag us back to the horror of nylon bedsheets and woodchip wallpaper.
