CATAPULT THE SUN

Catapult The Sun, the Athens-based doom/sludge/drone metal outfit, have just dropped their third release, titled Dark Sun Festivities, the successor to their 2022 sophomore EP. Featuring 5 songs over 40 minutes, Dark Sun Festivities is CTS’s most experimental work to date: droning yet energizing, ultra-heavy yet melodic, and – as always – full of crushingly low-tuned riffage. This third foray into end-of-times soundscapes was once again recorded live at Made In Hell Studio (Moschato, Greece) and mixed and mastered by Nick Papakostas at Clepsydra Studio (Glyfada, Greece).
