Time Was

Time Was is the latest release from Matt Stevenson, and his first under the moniker BTMFDR.

With these five tracks, Stevenson has left the dance floor behind entirely for blown-out soundscapes, smoke-scorched atmospheres, and chasmic voids. Ideas simmering for over a decade - buried deep, forgotten - are found again only through changes in form and the passage of time.

Time Was is a record of reflection, denial, and change. It is a distillation of years of struggle and effort. This is what remains: the coals that illuminate. The trials of time may erode, but they also shape and reveal.
