Godwit is a song for nature (that's you, too, human); an ode to a migrating bird whose heart grows large (and who digests its own organs) to feed its journey.

While flying 6800 miles, the Bar-Tailed Godwit absorbs its organs (liver, kidney, and digestive tract). Their heart grows to provide extra energy and oxygen.

Godwit explores whether we tiny creatures navigating a world beyond our control can (rather than devouring the world for pleasure) find internal sustenance to sustain our individual and collective migrations.

Godwit is a mourning dirge and a hopeful hymn. It is the title track of the Godwit album (song release #4 of 12).
