How Refracted Echoes came to be is a pure coincidence. I have recently acquired an Akai MPC Sample because I needed it for my potential live performances. As I was fiddling with it to make my first song and see if it will work for the reasons I needed it in the first place, Refracted Echoes came to be. It sounded too nice to be ignored, so the bass line, the beat and the vocal echoes of the song, are made in the Akai, then on my DAW, I recorded a back pad and a top cinematic pad from my Arturia MiniFreak. Refracted Echoes is a cinematic techno track, paving the way towards my full cinematic trance album coming next year.
The cover art of the Refracted Echoes, is a very personal work that I made myself from shooting the images and then editing them into a cover art. The droplets were from a pond in the Zen Gardens in Cornwall, UK, and the main image, is shot from the 2nd floor of the Eiffel tower in Paris during a very foggy night.
