The River in The Sky
The River in the Sky is a sound project that explores sound as a space of transition, and travel as a condition of listening. The title draws from the Japanese word for the Milky Way — 天の川 (Amanogawa) — reimagined not as mythology but as a perceptual image: something that crosses without belonging, that exists only in the act of passing through.
The album unfolds across seven tracks shaped by two Japanese aesthetic principles: ma (間), the interval, where silence is not absence but a load-bearing element; and yūgen (幽玄), a beauty that is sensed rather than fully revealed. Sounds that do not attack but appear. That do not resolve but withdraw. The river in the sky does not belong to the sky. It passes through, and disperses slowly into the space of listening.
