IMPALA (Expanded Edition)

IMPALA is the second album by El Tubo Elástico, an instrumental progressive rock quartet from Jerez de la Frontera, Spain. Originally released in 2018, it follows their acclaimed 2015 debut with six long tracks that combine progressive rock, space rock, post-rock, jazz-rock, psychedelia and touches of post-metal. Highlights include the two-part "El acelerador de picotas (Pt. I Ignición / Pt. II Colisión)", while guest musicians Guillermo Cides (Chapman Stick on "Turritopsis nutricula") and Ant Romero (exotic percussion on "La avispoteca") add new colors to the band's sound. This expanded edition, released by Astronomy Recording Music, includes the bonus track "La marcha elástica de los enanitos", a 16-minute version of Imán, Califato Independiente.
