It's an approach born not from indifference to craft, but from a deep, lifelong pull toward the art form itself.

A Childhood Dream, Rekindled

Guilmai's origin story is a straightforward one, and all the more sincere for it. "Ever since I was a child I always wanted to make electronic music," he says — a sentence that carries the full weight of years spent listening, imagining, and finally doing. After putting the project on hold last year due to time constraints, 2025 marks a firm return: one new track every month, with plans to increase that to two releases per month starting in December.

It's a disciplined schedule for an artist who describes himself as calm and quiet — qualities that, perhaps counterintuitively, come through in music designed to move bodies. There's a certain focused stillness behind the best electronic productions, and Guilmai seems to embody exactly that.

Making Music Against the Clock — Literally

Not every challenge in the studio is creative. For Guilmai, producing music in Venezuela means working around frequent power outages that can strike at any moment. "Producing music felt like a race against the clock, constantly waiting for the power to go out at any second, which made the whole creative process quite challenging," he explains. It's a reminder that for many artists around the world, the act of making music requires perseverance well beyond the artistic — and that the music reaching your speakers often traveled a harder road than you might imagine.

Blade in Fighting Stance

Guilmai's latest release is titled Blade in Fighting Stance, and the inspiration is exactly what it sounds like: the iconic vampire hunter Blade and his unmistakable combat style. It's a vivid conceptual anchor — all sharp edges, coiled tension, and readiness to strike — and it points to an artist who draws from pop culture with genuine enthusiasm rather than as an afterthought. Whether or not you catch the reference on the first listen, the mood translates.

The Creative Process: Controlled Chaos

Ask Guilmai to explain his creative process and he'll give you one of the most honest answers in music: "I honestly don't know how I can produce music or come up with any ideas; I just sit at the computer and let my creativity run wild." It's a method that sidesteps overthinking entirely, trusting instinct over formula. For a producer working across multiple electronic subgenres, that openness is less a limitation than a superpower — it's how you avoid getting locked into a single sound.

Three Years, One Track at a Time

Guilmai is thinking long-term. His goal is to keep the project running for at least three years, steadily building a catalog and seeing how listeners respond to each release. He's currently exploring multiple platforms to find where his music resonates most, and he's candid about still being in the discovery phase of promotion. What he is certain about is the community he's hoping to find.

"I just hope to connect with people who can truly appreciate such a great genre as electronic music," he says — and that, at its core, is what this whole project is about.
