A note from this shelf

Where doom meets the divine and deranged: Mother Raspberry's Summit of Excellance delivers bold new sounds from atop the peak of greatness on their 16th studio album. Buzzard's new war-themed single swings from heavy anthem to acoustic tale, while their album Crushing Burden of Despair — "what if Bob Dylan listened to Black Sabbath and read H.P. Lovecraft?" — is both soulful and sarcastic doom folk at its most essential. The Mountain King's Pike Dreams chronicles 2000 years of human existence through crushing atmospheric drones, and Hexistence's Such a Shame channels raw rage and anxiety into doom-drenched catharsis.
