BYDL
Nadeshda is the solo project of musician and artist Andreas Christian Haslauer. Best known for his work with cassettes and tape loops, involving manipulating cassette tapes to create unique layered soundscapes. In addition, Nadeshdas work is also distinguished by its use of sheer endless repetition and minimalist use of melancholic, yet soothing guitar riffs. Essential driver of the work of Sandro Nicolussi as BYDL is improvisation, often in collaborative contexts utilising digital and analog systems of chance. Electroacoustics, field recordings and everyday noises form the basis for his highly manipulated sound designs. Left-behind cassettes and Dictaphone tapes run ambiences and vocals for his productions.
