Cheshire Ghosts was released in January 2023, and starts off with "Autumn in Downland", a song about a relative of his who painted scenes of early 20th century places and people. The titles of his works formed the core of the lyrics to the song. The remaining tracks include some instrumental prog tracks ("The Golden Experiment", "The Killing Fields of Eton"), a rock track ("Time Lapse"), and a variety of colours in between, including two pastoral instrumentals, a song about Noah, and more besides.
