Ashtray

'Ashtray' is the first song composed by the band. At the time, Bâlâ was going through limerence, a romantic attachment turning into an obsession. The song explores that degrading spiral. “I was so obsessed I would have let them use me as an ashtray.”

The flip-side ‘Oboe & Bansuri’ deals with sexuality and its demons, drawing inspiration from Bâlâ’s vivid hallucinations during sleep paralysis episodes.
