each track on this album is a recording of the first time a song was ever played through in full. capturing music in the moment it comes into the world has always been important to me. some songs allow you to re-record them with a real microphone in a different setting, but the ones on this album did not.

these little capsules contain some of my deepest moments of my pain and longing. you can listen to them on heavy mornings, with hot tea, or maybe somewhere cold and high up. please listen to them by a frigid beach with cold, wet wind whipping your face. please use these songs to help you remember that loneliness is something you can soften into, and like grief, it can help us reconnect to the magnificent sweetness of our tiny lives.
