Fragile Creatures
Chasing Hearts
"Chasing Hearts" delves into the perspective of a jealous man stuck in the doldrums of unrequited love, while the object of his affection is pursued by predatory men. Written by Kidd and Neville in 2011 during Fragile Creatures' early days, the song took shape in a quirky, below-sea-level studio beneath Brighton Marina, notorious for its questionable wiring. One fateful Christmas, its riffs emerged through an alcoholic haze, only to disappear into a forgotten demo folder for a decade. Rediscovered and reimagined for their forthcoming third album, Play Both Sides, the track blends tropical guitars with moody synths and dirty bass, showcasing the poppier side of the band’s sound whilst exploring the darker side of romance.
